Customer goal: Light a large piece of artwork without increasing their electric bill.
Result: We designed an energy efficient grid tied (FP&L powered) lighting system and then installed a small solar PV system. Solar PV system turns the electric meter backwards during the day offsetting the electricity used at night by the lighting systems. This type of system is the most cost effective and green solar lighting system when grid power is available at the site. No Battery maintenance or battery replacement.
Collectors: Twelve 68 watt solar laminates installed on the public restroom.
