Customer goal: Build an energy efficient in Vero Beach and maximize the amount of Solar. They also wanted the minimum amount of holes in the roof.
Result: Goal accomplished.
Collectors: 9870 Watts of Solar with 8460W tied to Enphase dual microinverters to minimize any shading issues.
Inverter: 8460W tied to Enphase dual panel microinverters to minimize any shading issues and 1410 W tied to a DC pool pump to eliminate the need for grid power for 30,000 gallon pool.
Comments: The entire system only has 4 wire holes in the roof for the wires. Holes are under the metal caps on the ridges. The panels are attached to the roof with “S5” clips. This is the first S5 system installed in Indian River county meeting the HVHZ (high velocity hurricane zone) standard. The roof structure was engineered from the beginning to accept this system of attachment without drilling any holes in the roof.
